I have a ’69 Jag with a California tag, but it is a small brass tag stamped “68 JA” if I remember correctly (it was a late ’68 build). Was it up to the distributors or dealers to put their own form of tags on? Or were these put on at the factory (which seems to be the case with one of the notes in Scott’s attached document).
