<p>I read somewhere that it is not advisable to fit a shoulder
harness when the belt would come from below the occupant's
shoulder; i.e. the belt needs its top mount anchored above
shoulder height. I don't remember the particulars, but there was
a rational explanation.</p>

motor change to a 3.8 litre V6) Not all that hard (as per
photos) but I don’t know how you’d go with the soft top frame
when folded (I only have a hard top)</p>

give me a better chance of</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I know the basic procedure on a four seater
like our former BJ7 but it</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">had a mounting already built in for the
shoulder strap. I remember</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">instructions for locating the shoulder
strap anchor on earlier six</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">cylinder cars, but I don't recall anything
about the two seaters or</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">the four cylinder cars in general.</p>
