For my BJ8, we had an 'old fart' at an engine builder's shop balance the <br>
drums; he welded quarter-inch iron rod lengthwise between the fins (no <br>
metal removed).<br>

I don't recall if we had the BN2's drums balanced, but there is a large, <br>
thick rib near the outer edge that had chunks cleanly machined off; it <br>
appears this would have been done at the factory.<br>
