I’ve no clue how it was attached previously, but I’m guessing that it was not with the original T fitting. Any ideas on how I can repair this? I’ve loosened the door trim, and can get to the screws holding the latch mechanism to the interior door frame, but how does the exterior handle tie into the latch mechanism?
