<div>I would suspect that part of the problem is that the threads & the seat dimensions on the banjo fitting & the threads & seat dimensions on the non-original glass bowl filter are not the same. </div>

<div class="aolmail_MsoNormal"><span style='color: windowtext; font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;'>FWIW, the fuel hose for my BN7 was also problematic. I had a steel braided line with red and black tracers that fit perfectly which I got perhaps 5 years ago from British Car Specialists, if memory serves. The fittings are an inverse flare. I got one replacement from British Car Specialists and had problems with it threading on and seating, and also one from Moss, which came from a different vendor, but with the same style. The fittings on the replacement hoses were similar to a flare, but instead of tapering to the orifice, they were squared off. And while I could force the treads on both the fuel rail and the fitting from my glass bowl filter, they would not seat properly. I returned the Moss unit, but unfortunately I fouled the threads on the one from BCS rendering it junk. I finally had a local hose and hydraulics company make me a hose using the fittings from the prior hose. Problem solved, albeit a bit expensively considering the cost of manufacture plus the wasted hose.</span></div>
