Pistons #1 and #6 are both reaching TDC together but if #1 is on the compression stroke (both valves closed) then the exhaust valve (#12 from front to back) for #6 cylinder should be open (exhaust stroke). Actually, it is open and should be just starting to close. The #6 cylinder intake valve (#11) is closed and just starting to open).</span></div><div class="yiv7464717117MsoNormal" id="yui_3_16_0_1_1496518937172_4613"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;"> </span></div><div class="yiv7464717117MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;">No spark:</span></div><div class="yiv7464717117MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;">Make sure the white/black wire is connected to the distributor and the + side of the coil (if positive ground) and the white wire to the other side of the coil.</span></div><div class="yiv7464717117MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;">Check the small flexible wire under the distributor cap to be sure it isn't broken or loose at its terminals.</span></div><div class="yiv7464717117MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;">Did you have the ignition switch on for a significant length of time without starting the engine?
