<DIV>I currently have the oil pan off my BJ8 – to replace the gasket with one of 

those newer silicon style ones.</DIV>

<DIV>While scratching around saw that there was a large threaded hole on the 

rear main. Also one on the front main but smaller diameter.</DIV>

<DIV>My manual shows a drain pipe there. </DIV>

<DIV>Is it important ? </DIV>

<DIV>Do I need to fit one ?</DIV>

<DIV>Purpose ? </DIV>

<DIV>Read on another forum that removing it reduces leaks from the rear seal

<DIV>What about the front threaded hole ? Manual doesn’t show anything ?</DIV>
