Today my son asked to have a try at putting the dipstick in the block. Ten minutes later he comes walking in the house and announces, "It's in." He tried to put it in like I did, then started to twist it back and forth. After a few seconds it slips to the bottom of the pan. When we pulled it out (it needed to be twisted back and forth again). I took a good look at it. The dipstick was not exactly straight. I straightened it out the best I could and took some emory cloth to the high spots. It slips in quite well now. I should have remembered that EVERY little job of assembly on this car is a battle. I have to make everything fit. Nothing is easy and it's eventually going to drain my bank account. I have to keep telling myself it's going to be worth it. Acquiring this car as rolling empty shell has done nothing to help me in the re-assembly. Having nothing to go on, I have to rely on as many pictures as I can gather and help from you guys. So please bear with me when I ask something stupid like today. I should have known it was going to be a struggle as usual.</div><div dir="ltr">Mike MacLean<br></div></div>
