<div dir="ltr">I have Lempert gears in my BJ7, installed many years ago by Fred Crowley. They are not noisy at all, so I doubt there is anything inherent in the gear ratio that would cause them to make noise. Since everything was fine before the new gears were installed, I'd suspect the installation.
