<p>As this thread goes on I'm getting more confused.... <br>

<p>I have a BN1 and always thought of it as a "roadster". It would
not be by this definition. <br>
</p>
<p>Are we venturing off to locality colloquialisms? Maybe a
"roadster" is different on the two sides of the pond. My BN1
factory service manual has a picture of the car with the hood up.
Not even close over here, the hood to me is what would be called
the bonnet over there in the UK or GB. But the "hood" in the
picture is the roadster/convertible top. <br>

<p>To add to the confusion and throw a little fuel on the fire....
Right or wrong I've heard and seen the early Healey's and other
British Sport cars call "drop head coupes". What is the true
definition of that nomenclature? <br>

I think we have to get the definitions right. A convertible
is a vehicle that has a removable top, but the top is fixed
to the car. Like the case is with BJ7 and BJ8. The BT7 is a
roadster, meaning that the top is removable, and is not
fixed to the vehicle. I suggest a simple Googling on this
and you will get the terms right.<br>
