    <div class="moz-cite-prefix">I would be very apprehensive about foam
      filters. First of all I would like to see proper evidence of
      filtration performance, particle size-air flow.<br>
      In first instance they could be suitable for racing purposes where
      bore/piston wear is not very important. Not many miles are driven
      that way and frequent rebuilds are in the cards.<br>
      For longevity of the engine I would opt for proven paper elements
      of renowned manufacturers or perhaps even K&N and similar,
      however particle size may be not as small/controlled as with top
      brand paper elements.<br>
      For looks: foam socks or K&N!<br>

          <div>If you don’t mind the non standard look they are great. I
            don’t buy the extra 6HP that DW claims but no doubt there is
            less input air restriction compared to the pancakes.  A
            little noisier as you can hear the air flow  - I think that
            this is reassuring ! Well made and the clips work well.</div>
          <div>I bought the special oil spray they tout from ITG in CA
            as there are cautions about using the incorrect oil.</div>
          <div>An added benefit is that it takes but a few mins to
            remove the cover and get access to the SU pistons etc.</div>
