<DIV class=moz-cite-prefix>I would be very apprehensive about foam filters.
First of all I would like to see proper evidence of filtration performance,
particle size-air flow.<BR>In first instance they could be suitable for racing
purposes where bore/piston wear is not very important. Not many miles are driven
that way and frequent rebuilds are in the cards.<BR>For longevity of the engine
I would opt for proven paper elements of renowned manufacturers or perhaps even
K&N and similar, however particle size may be not as small/controlled as
with top brand paper elements.<BR>For looks: foam socks or K&N!<BR>Kees

<DIV>If you don’t mind the non standard look they are great. I don’t buy the
extra 6HP that DW claims but no doubt there is less input air restriction
compared to the pancakes. A little noisier as you can hear the air
flow - I think that this is reassuring ! Well made and the clips work
well.</DIV>
<DIV>I bought the special oil spray they tout from ITG in CA as there are
cautions about using the incorrect oil.</DIV>
<DIV>An added benefit is that it takes but a few mins to remove the cover and
get access to the SU pistons etc.</DIV>
