But the evidence I've collected in the BJ8 Registry for 8,788 BJ8s (49.6% of total production), says that the painted or all-chrome badges were used throughout production. The parts manual is no help because only two part numbers are given: one for BJ7 and one for BJ8. I used to own car 43014 and learned in a concourse showing that the original was painted, not cloisonne. I don't know on what car # they changed to painted.
