The fluid leaks past the servo cylinder seal and into the vacuum chamber from whence it eventually finds its way to the inlet manifold and is burned by the engine and comes out the exhaust pipe.<br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;font-size:small">To check loosen a few of the nuts and bolts on the bottom of the servo chest and pry the cover back a little keeping the gasket against the cover. If fluid leaks out retain it and add a few drops of water to it. If the that fluid turns milky around the water it is brake fluid and the servo seals are leaking. <br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;font-size:small">Hope that helps.<br><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;font-size:small">Michael S <br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;font-size:small">BN1 #174<br></div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><div class="gmail_quote">On Sat, Feb 27, 2016 at 4:36 PM, R. The repair shop told me there was fuel in the servo causing the gaskets to dry out and leak. OK, they rebuilt it, gave me a check valve, sent it back, I installed it with the new valve and I bled the system. I’ve had it out on a few local runs, maybe 50 miles or so. Oddly, on my last trip, I smelled something like anti freeze escaping but the system is full. <div><br></div><div>I just checked the brake reservoir and it’s about 20% down.
