20W50 in the gearbox/OD. It is used as the factory standard oil in
several British classic cars. Some oils may be specially
formulated but it is doubtful if they perform better. They all
cost more and are probably harder to get, although getting 20W50
is not that easy either these days.<br>
I have used it in my gearbox for more than 35 years.<br>

agree with Kees--you really cannot overfill the box and even
if you do the car will leak oil anyway so at worst you will
have a larger puddle of oil under the car. Do be sure to use
an oil with a GL4 rating or your yellow metal parts (synchro
rings, etc) will not be very happy. I recommend RedLine MTL
or MT90.</div>
