    <div class="moz-cite-prefix">Never bother about the quantity, just
      fill right up until the oil overflows the filler plug hole, both
      overdrive and gearbox if they are separate. <br>
      When brass parts are used (e.g. synchro rings, selector forks, OD
      parts) do not use EP "gearbox oil". Use straight oil, special oil
      e.g Redline or 20W50 engine oil to save these parts in the box.<br>

                    states the same for a centre-shift box as well. So I
                    will be buying a 4 litre container and store what’s
                    left over for the inevitable leaks.</span><span

                        believe the workshop manual first.  If you're
                        doing a drain-and-fill, you don't know for sure
                        how much residual oil is left so you have to go
                        by the dipstick anyway.<br>
