[Healeys] E brake issue

Try adjusting it first. Adjust the rear brakes so that it removes the excessive free play. Then remove the right rear wheel so you can access the emergency brake adjuster. Remove the cotter pin and pin and slacken the lock nut so you can tighten the cable. If that doesn’t work it could be that there is excessive play at the bottom of the handle caused by loose nuts that attach the handle to the tunnel.

My brake handle won't stay up. The cog wheel does not engage the handle so it just goes gages. What is the best approach to fix this?
