What used to distinguish roadsters from other sports cars was they had a fully removable top which the BJ7 and BJ8's do not. However, in contemporary times that is no longer the case because some car companies have used the term roadster for cars with tops thatcan not be fully removed.

What model? Everything up to a BJ7 is a roadster.

Hello,
I have a question for the group regarding the Austin-Healey.
Is the car considered a drophead coupé, a roadster, or both? Specifically, are the earlier cars with side curtains considered roadsters, and the later cars with roll-up windows considered drophead coupés?
Thanks for your input,
Harold
