Some oldtimers here may recall that I tried to put together an order for a batch of K&N filters for BJ8s. On BJ8s, the front filter has to fit partially under the shroud; Dave fabbed a prototype with the hole high in the backplane so the filter would sit low enough to fit. He sent me the prototype, along with a couple 'stub stacks' that fit inside and I promptly started enlisting buyers on this list. I had 15 or so owners lined-up but, unfortunately Dave's wife was injured in a car crash and, well, he lost interest (understandably). He never asked for payment, and he was exceedingly pleasant to deal with.
