[Healeys] inner A arm bushing nuts

All true. Plus, we know that castle nuts and nylock nuts are appropriate for different purposes. Nylocks should not be used where they would be subject to rotation, and castle nuts with cotter pins are best for that application.

Hi Bob,

It seems my reply was misunderstood. I think people might believe that NyLock nuts are an improvement over the OEM castle nuts. I was suggesting that people should use the original castle nut and not NyLock nuts. As you know, the castle nuts are available to purchase from most any local hardware store! A couple of thoughts come to mind; don't reinvent the wheel and if it isn't broke, don't fix it.

Regards,

John

Hi John,

You could always pop down to the nearest hardware store and buy a 'regular' nut; 7/16" fine IIRC (but I'm not crawling under my car to check ;). Note, as others have, that nylock nuts weren't OEM.

Regards,

bob
