[Healeys] 100 fanbelts

A few comments on fan belts. Cog belts are better for small diameter
pulleys like those found on our Healeys but are not a must have. I am not
sure about 100's but the 6 cylinder Healeys have a 36 groove angle on the
pulleys. Try to find a belt that is close to 36 degrees. The width of the
belt is best determined by Ride-Out.
Ride-Out is the distance from the outside diameter of the pulley to the top
of the belt. For both the 3/8” and ½” pulley Ride-Out should be between
0.015” – 0.105” or about 1/16”. If the Ride-Out is outside of this range
either the belt is worn out or it is the wrong size belt.

Note there should be a gap between the bottom of the belt and bottom of the
pulley groove.
To find the right belt for my 3000 I went to a supplier with a large stock
and used trial and error to find the right length and width.
