[Healeys] Austin-Healey 4000

I have received info from someone who should know that the red “4000” was based on a 100-Six chassis and “restored” by two people in England, started by one now deceased and finished by another whose name I don’t have permission to release.   The UK registration was PSY 630.  The car was sold by the finisher to Holland.  The finisher always maintained it was a replica.  My informant saw it several times during its construction.

Just to veer this thread off slightly, wasn't Alan Casavant planning on establishing a Healey museum somewhere in VA (VIR, maybe?) before divorce reared its ugly head (coincidence. maybe not).  Does anyone recall what cars he had actually purchased? I faintly recall his negotiating with Bill Wood. Perhaps he ended up with the 100 display chassis?  Bill also wanted to establish a Healey Museum at Lime Rock, but IIRC, he couldn't get Skip Barber to go along with it.  These are all recollections of a 73 year-old man and may be subject to memory lapses and interpretation.

That’s is certainly not and original  from my knowledge . I also was in Alan car when he had it . It’s now in Switzerland I was told . I recall being three on e automatic .  None of them for red and did have this style dash . Not commenting on the quality of the works as I have not looked closely but appears to be done well.. 

Alan Hendrix had the car at shop for long periods and he could shed one light . The black 4000 is in Vreeland in the museum I saw in last year and Alan’s was white. I have photo of me in it somewhere .

I saw this car years ago when it was supposedly owned by Allen Casavant  Something happened and he departed the scene as did the car.  I thought it was unimpressive.
