[Healeys] Austin-Healey 4000

Michael, I don’t believe this car is the same one owned by Alan Casavant.   He joined our annual NC Mountain tour back when he owned the 4000 and was driving it on the tour with his little daughter.  It was Ivory White with Black trim and had VIN 624W1628, engine HF414.

As I understand it, a divorce intervened and he sold the 4000.  His Silverstone was for sale at The Gathering in Mount Airy. About the same time.  The 4000 next turned up in Germany.  When I saw it, the car did not have what appears to be a BN4 VIN or the rear shroud like a Phase 1 BJ8.

No doubt Kees and yet there it is in print.

 

I saw this car years ago when it was supposedly owned by Allen Casavant  Something happened and he departed the scene as did the car.  I thought it was unimpressive.
