[Healeys] Motive Products Power Bleeder

Hi Allen,

The ezibleed system is different. I fabricated a cap from the lid of a PVC solvent can. It fits the reservoir and seals with one rubber gasket on the inside. I have attached photos of my reservoir and cap.

I did called tech support and was told there was not a cap for the Austin-Healey even though the website states differently. Something interesting is tech support is provided by the former company owner. He bought the company in 2008 and sold it in September of 2023. Motive Products is located back east but tech support is provided by the former owner and the area code for his phone is 408.

It is irritating that they say they have a cap but don’t. The product is very expensive and one should not have to fabricate a cap!

Cheers,

John

Hi John -

For whatever reason the ezibleed cap I have does not sit properly and seal, so I just use a couple of small to medium trigger clamps to hold the cap in place and that works well (the bottom part of the clamp on the underside of the reservoir, the top on one side of the cap - be sure to use a trigger clamp that has rubber faced clamps so that it doesn't damage anything).

I put a small zip tie to hold together the two metal slides that will rise above the reservoir when it's in place, to keep the clamps from sliding off the cap while the system is under pressure.

Cheers,

Alan

Does anyone have one of these? I bought one and the Girling cap does not fit my Moss Motors Classic Gold brake/clutch fluid reservoir. I have a 1962 BT7.

The adaptor above is the red cap and hose, the Girling one.

I think I need the 1100 adaptor pictured below.

If you have one, which adaptor did you have and do you have a product number you could send me?

Thanks,

John
