Hi Pat, The split rivets are installed with the head and washer towards the engine so that the "legs" through the aluminiUm of the shroud and hidden under the other side of the buffer.

I assume that everyone is familiar with the rubber buffers that are affixed with copper rivets and flat washers to the front shroud openings on all Big Healeys.

The big and riveting question is that once installed, are the rivet heads on the engine side of the buffer, or on the other side facing the outside of the car.
