I'm no hexpert, but from what I've seen/heard whiny rear-ends are mostly
caused by improper installation or bad break-in--there is a
process--although my dad and I installed a Lempert in my BJ8 'by the
book' and it's a bit noisy (it's only bothersome with the hood up,
which isn't often). I've tried thicker, synthetic oil--Redline
75-140--which seemed to help a little but short of putting lard in I
don't think there's a 'solution in a can.'
My dad, who was a factory rep for Ford, told me many/most early Mustangs
had noisy diffs, and I can hear my '19 Mustang GT's on occasion. IIRC,
DWM sells a 3.54, which may very well be what Moss sells.
