[Healeys] Engine ID Plate

Norman, Todd Clarke has made many reproduction plates for BJ8 owners over
the years after the BJ8 Registry helped them to get the identity of their
cars officially corrected by the vehicle registration authorities after they
were found to be incorrect. I've seen a lot of repro plates that were so
far from the original look to be obvious, and Todd was the only source I
know of who could make them look original. His passing is a real loss for
all of us.

As far as I've heard, there are no plans for anyone to take over the
business and equipment, but perhaps that will change. I'm afraid I do not
know of an alternate source to stamp new plates properly at this time.

Good luck with it, and let us all know if you do locate a new source.

Subject: [Healeys] Engine ID Plate

The engine rebuild for the BJ8 is almost completed and due to
damage/corrosion I need to replace the Engine ID plate. Years ago I got a
plate from Todd Clarke at Clarke Spares and Restorations and since he is
unfortunately no longer with us I was wondering if anyone knew where to get
replacement plates with the correct embossing.

Thank you

Norman
