[Healeys] High clutch

Thinking more about your clutch issue. Your description of symptoms has me
confused.
Am I correct in assuming that what you are experiencing is that the clutch
starts to release (slip) after depressing the clutch pedal only a small
distance this being 1 - 2 inches from its normal (undepressed) position?
