Thanks Kees.  The 1.5ohm is for V8's.  3 ohm for 6 and 4's.  That was my concern with using the 1.5 for the Healey 6.Tom

The Pertronix ignition (and many other electronic ignition
 systems)  usually needs a resistance of 3 Ohm. A lower resistance
 may lead to failure of the Pertronix. A 1,5 Ohm coil should be
 used together with a 1,5 Ohm ballast resistor. If you use a 3 Ohm
 coil you will not need the ballast resistor.
