[Healeys] Generator Bracket Thread

Adding to John’s comment, here is what the two pillars look like: 6-cyl – top,  100 – bottom.

I use a Nyloc nut and flat washer on the link side.

A word of warning. The similar part fitted to the 100 engine is 1B1724. It looks almost the same as the AEC293 as fitted to 6-cylinder engines except that it has BSF threads and nuts. The larger is 7/16" BSF.

Hi Pat, that little beastie is actually called a "Pillar" and the part number is AEC293.

The thread on the end with the hex (engine plate end) is 7/16" UNF and the other (dynamo link end) is 3/8" UNF.
