Ira Looks like A-head for Healeys </www.ahead4healeys.co.uk> has the O-rings you will need.

Ira I was lucky in that these were in pretty good shape. One had the glass broken and was exposed to the elements but could have been repaired except for the oxidized silver on the face. (anyone have a fix for that?) so that became a parts donor. I cleaned and re-painted the cases and needles that had flaking paint and lightly cleaned and oiled the works. Locating the O-rings might be a problem. A while back someone on the list made a run of O-rings they may still be around. You need a square ring for instrument to dash, a round 1/8"+- for the bezel and a 1/6" under the glass. The re-set knob for the trip mileage is held on with a very small brass screw which will no doubt be impossible to remove. I drilled out the thread end of the screw which left a 1/16" through hole and used a brass cotter pin to replace the screw. It's all pretty logical just use a light touch and be really careful.

Well a side trip on the dash board project involved finishing up some speedometers that had been cleaned up but not finished so I could pick the best one to use. Looks like I will get two pretty good ones and an acceptable / usable one out of the four I started with. Stripping and repainting the needles had me worried but they came out nice. The works looked good just blow the dust out and some light oil. An interesting project.
