[Healeys] Small parts

Michael / List  The consensus is this is not an original part. Closer inspection revealed that the switch itself is American made. That would lead to the conclusion that this was a replacement of the original switch done before 1963 when the car came into my family's possession. I think I'll keep it for sentimental reasons and use a stock appearing hex nut on the next project.ThanksRayPS: Sometimes you learn something, sometimes you learn not something....

 Ray--
Not that I am in any way an expert on originality but when my 100 came to me it was quite original and it did not have the piece you describe.   A couple of 100 experts are not familiar with it either. Why do you feel the piece should be there?

I can see by the indents in the escushian plate that someone has added that chrome ring to "dress up" the rather bland Lightning switch and knurled ring which is the original fixing (shown). They must have used a longer toggle as well and some way to hold the chrome ring in place. Hank

Anyone out there have one of these that they wouldbe willing to part with? Not sure what to call it but it's the trimcap on the O.D. toggle switch. Details, details, details.
Thanks
