[Healeys] Conversion to single battery

As of now the cable from the solenoid is on my BN2, but I have not run any
other battery cables yet.  I have two repro Lucas 6 volt batteries waiting
for battery acid to be added for the first time.  As this car will not be a
candidate for concours judging I am considering conversion to a single 12
volt battery.  What is the easiest way to do this?  What series 12 volt
battery is used for this?  Anyone have any pictures of their conversion,
wiring instructions?
