  . . .  or just Kilmartin’s as we have known them for some 40 years, then to close their order book on 31st May

 

I visited a local member a couple of weeks ago to see how he was progressing with stripping the chassis of a 1954 BN1 he had recently bought in pieces.

It was dismantled by the owner with the intent of restoring it.

This was about 35 years ago.   Can you see where this project was going?  😊

 

My friend told me the chassis wasn’t too good and, try as he might, using all of his engineering skills, he couldn’t get it straight.

That, and a bit too much ‘tin worm’, as DMH used to call it.

 

So he picked up the phoned, spoke to Greg, and bought a new 100 chassis.

 

I told you all that to tell you this:

 

He said that Greg and John have found a new buyer for KAS and they will be staying on for a year to train the new staff in all aspects of the business.

 

So, we can all now breathe a huge sigh of relief that I suspect may be heard around the entire Healey world.
