[Healeys] Engine lift

A few more tips. Your cherry picker is going to have to raise to a pretty
high angle to clear everything, so make sure your ceiling and garage door
give you enough room before you have the engine and trans hanging over the
shroud.

I've done it as a one-man job but it's easier if you have a second to guide
the transmission and make sure it doesn't scratch anything. It helps to
raise the front of the car a few inches. Pad the front of the shroud well
to prevent scratches. An engine leveler helps. Make sure all your chains
will take the weight, a friend had one snap right as everything was hanging
over the front of the shroud, not pretty. Remove the gear shift lever.
Observe how time slows down as you hold your breath when the lump is
hanging over the shroud. Have plenty of drinks on hand to celebrate when
disaster was avoided.

Good luck,
Rick Neville
