Alan, maybe you have an older copy of the Guidelines.

2022 version states on page 156:


*One 12-volt battery is mounted in the boot in a black Bakelite traywith a
separate hold down bar (painted gloss black) and hold-down rods similar to
the BN6s/7ssecured by wing nuts.*
And

*The battery top is covered with a black lightweight vinyl seam-welded
cover. *

As editor I have no recollection of a Lucas Battery Box... am I missing
something?
