Snake Rive Classics is doing something similar with the MGB, for only $100K (also WTF?).  They spec the GM LTG 2.0L engine, 260HP/270 lb.ft. as used in the Camaro. In my Healey by Caton, I'd take that over the original block and 185bhp. YMMV.
