If you do not want to get scalded, you have to wait until the temp. of the antifreeze/water mixture is below its boiling point at atmospheric pressure. If you do not know what that is, I would wait until the fluid temperature is below 212 degrees as indicated on your water temp gauge. Gary Hodson
