[Healeys] overdrive problem

Mine used to cut out on right turns, especially in third gear which i rarely use for o/d.
Turned out to be the switch adjustment on the 3/4 shift rail.

friends BT7 had o/d quit.  solenoid was bad so replaced it.  now it will go into o/d but pop out when accelerating.   any 
ideas what the cause is and the fix?
