It can easily handle the trailer with car up to a total of 2500kg or more. Here in the Netherlands they are legally limited to around 1800kg total towing weight but in other areas this may be different. It is probably noted somewhere in your car papers or documentation.

In the 80's and 90's I used to trailer a horsebox with two horses in my 1800cc Subaru Impreza (permissible legal towing weight 1800kg) and later in my 2000cc Legacy. These days no horses anymore but I still drive Subaru, a Forester.
