[Healeys] LEDs should not be used for turn signal indicators?

Can someone explain to me why Moss catalog says “ LEDs should not be used for turn signal indicators”

I have already replaced my gage lighting with LED, which work great but I don’t know why the turn  signal indicator green colored light can’t also be an LED.  It is simply an on-off light that should not be affected by the lower current draw.  What am I missing here?  I am using the original flasher.
