[Healeys] Fuel tank issue

Paul what are encountering is, sadly,  frequently encountered with
reproduction parts. You can be assured that the manufacturer has no access
to a car in which to check the product nor, in all probability does the
vendor.
You can also be assured that they both are well aware of the problem but
probably have considerable inventory of this defective product and will
continue to push it out to unsuspecting customers until they are all sold.
IMHO what you should do is contact the vendor and demand a full refund
including the cost of shipping it back.
Unfortunately too many people just figure out a work around and the
suppliers continue to get away with it.
