[Healeys] rear rake drum source?

The issue these days is most stuff made is crap.
For example, a standard old healey brake drum weighs 7.1 Kgs.
The "Alfin" replacement from AH Spares weighs 7 Kg!!!!!!!
How do you make an aluminium brake drum that weighs almost the same as a cast iron one??
And just to add insult to injury, Denis Welch sells a drum with 5 large slots in the outside face. Sounds lighter? Nah - over 9 kg!!!!
So based on my recent research, I'd be looking for good second hand drums!
Best

I ordered a new pair through a recommended reseller for M**s and when I mounted them, they also drug in a couple spots and turned free in others. I tried running them but had a significant shake in the pedal on braking. They were also so close to maximum inside diameter that I could not have them turned to true them up. They were sent back.
