[Healeys] Uncle Pete's Death

My race car engine building, Butch Gilbert, died a year ago of cancer. With knowledge of his situation he spent his last active six months driving his two own race cars on all the great East Coast trips, traveling with his wife and career-long crew chief.I'm doubting these two observations suggest a trend of engine builders dying of cancer; the real trend is that so many of these great craftsmen – engine builders, machine shop gurus, generator/starter specialists, paint and body experts and so forth -- are reaching the ends of their natural lives with no younger people to replace them.Sic transit gloria mundi.

A few years back, there was a discussion here on idle oil pressure.
This has been a sad week, "Uncle" Pete Molloy lost his battle with brain cancer and passed away at 84 years.
Uncle Pete built my Healey 3000 engine 21 years ago, almost to the day, and it still has more pull than a busload of schoolboys. And it's oil pressure is still awesome.
Here's a pic.

Rest In Peace Uncle Pete.
