No, that's not what I saw.  It was a single front seat back that spanned the width of the car.  No division or gap in the middle.   There was no view of the seats themselves.

They did sell a kids seat that fit between the two front seats and on the driveshaft tunnel. Could not find a photo, bet they were a thing back in the day. Anyone have a photo?

Was watching an old movie (1964) this morning on TCM, "Night Must Fall".  There are a couple of lengthy scenes including a BN7 or BT7, but the odd thing is the car appeared to have a bench front seat -- at least the seat back is continuous across the width of the car.
