Parts list AKD 1151, together with Fastener decode AKD 2239 demonstrate that 3/16” UNF (No 10) and smaller screws were used on Austin Healeys.

This may of course not be true for the earlier cars since AKD 1151 is the parts list for BN7, BT7 & BJ7 cars

I hesitate to write this as I am effectively arguing with people far more knowledgeable than I am. However, I have several times noticed that people are saying that 10 32 bolts or screws were used on Healeys when I know they are actually 2BA. Although UK started using UNC and UNF bolts and screws as Whitworth and BSF went out of fashion ( and prior to metrication), the small Unified sizes that had numerical- only designations (like 8, 10) were very rarely used in the UK, where we carried on with BA for the smaller sizes.
