[Healeys] Mystery Bag

If I remember correctly, the BJ8 cam with a bottle jack that was stored draw-string canvas bag on the left side of  the boot behind the tail light under the floor mat.  This bag held the jack along with its handle and, I believe, was strapped to the frame.  Could that be what you have?
