[Healeys] Top Bow disaster

Ahh yes, the old grey matter is starting to rouse !!
The 4 seater system requires the "hook" over the lip of the windscreen
frame to stabilize and position the front bow because unlike the 2 seater
it doesn't have the side bars connecting the front bow to the top frame.
That said then my question is answered because my BN6 parts book
illustrates the forward lip on the windscreen top rail even though those
cars do not have the "hook" on the " hoodstick retaining rail".
Got it ... sort of ... but ... then why does the 2 seater BN6/7 need the
forward lip on the windscreen top rail? ... my guess is parts
standardization.
Thanks everyone for your help.
