If it is a burnt valve it is not wise to travel any long distance as you may damage the valve seat considerably if it has non hardened seat fitted and, as David Nock says a cracked head may be the result. It is unlikely to be rings/bore as the drop in compression is to big.

What also could be checked easily is if the crank case ventilation blows considerably , if so it could be a hole in the piston but than again the compression would probably be lower than 25psi and a holed piston is not something that happens often.

Burnt valves on UK cars are a regular occurrence. I have had them on the Spitfire, Land Rover and on the Jensen-Healey, never on the Italian, French, USA, German, Japanese or Korean cars I had/have but may be I was lucky there.

Steve, are you planning on driving the Healey to Deadwood.  If so I would not recommend to do that with a low compression. If it is a burnt valve then you will greatly increase the chances of cracking the head. If it is rings then you will use a lot of oil.   I would recommend a leak test right away. Then you can determine if the low compression is a valve problem or a ring problem.     David Nock
