Bob,

If it looks like a 1/4" UNF then it's a 1/4" BSF.

If it looks like a 10-32 SAE machine screw, it is in fact a no. 2 BA.
Lucas used British thread forms!

NEITHER of which is interchangeable!  In the case of no. 2 BA... 47-1/2
degree thread pitch (British Association) and 31.4 threads per inch versus
60 degree thread pitch and of course 32 tpi of the no. 10-32.

The 1/4" BSF is 55 degree thread pitch (Whitworth) and 26 tpi while the
1/4: UNF is 60 degree thread pitch and 28 tpi.
